Haiku for You
Whataburger is
greasy, overwhelming, and
not anyone's friend.
So, my sister knows.
She keeps saying the same line:
"We hoped we were wrong."
Seeking employment
scares me more than dental work.
Is retail for me?
When dreams of you come,
I do linger in my bed--
those joyous mornings.
I do love those two.
Bound tightly, like family,
our balance is nice.
Among pots and pans
I feel my purpose: to cook.
Have a bite. You'll smile.
Mac users, gay boys,
Ole Miss students. Similar?
We're better than you.
Text messages. They're
impersonal. Expressions
on my face tell truth.
