Things about Me

I played t-ball when I was in preschool. I was miserable the entire season, but my parents wouldn't let me quit. When I was in the outfield, I would sit in the grass, look at the stars, and pick flowers. I also got in trouble because I told one of the coaches that I wanted to go home and take a bubble bath.

I say that I want to have kids one day, but I hate most of the children I come in contact with. Is that how everyone feels about kids who don't belong to them, or am I just tricking myself?

I hate blue cheese.

The summer after ninth grade, I would stay up all night just to go swimming at dawn; then I'd cook breakfast and watch Charlie's Angels. After breakfast, I'd drink orange spice tea.

I overuse "lol" and its many variations on AIM.

I've felt closer to my sister in these few weeks we've spent together than I have in a long time, but I'm afraid of exposing too much to her about my life.

Few things make me more unresponsive than poor grammar.

I hate my sister's smaller dog, so I give the other one extra treats when no one is looking.

Things that remind me of childhood: Legos, Lincoln Logs, Play-Do, cheese and crackers (that came packaged together with the little red stick), reading encyclopedias, playing in a sand box, water balloons.

I was very precocious child. I had a list of instruments I wanted to learn to play (e.g., oboe, horn, cello, and guitar). The ones I actually got around to: flute, trumpet, horn, and piano.

Juicy Fruit gum reminds me of being in church. My mom always has packs of it floating around her purse, and she used to give it to me to keep me occupied. Somehow I'd always get it smeared across my face. I hated church.

Lately I've developed a thing for chocolate (particularly Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies).
