Bits & Pieces (Thrown Together)

A quote I enjoyed: "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." 

The other night when I went to Wal-Mart, as I was walking toward the front doors, a guy shouted at me, "You better walk, bitch!" He was obviously gay--his husband was pushing the cart--but I still didn't know if he was giving me a compliment or if I was the victim of a gay-on-gay hate crime. Those ambiguous situations do make me so uneasy.
